Army Inflatable Day Shefford Feb 16th

Half-term in Shefford is getting an Army-themed twist on February 16th. BounceCamp is taking over Robert Bloomfield Academy for a day of foam-dart battles, inflatable challenges, obstacle activities and energetic play for children aged 4+.

This is not simply a Nerf game followed by a bounce. We are putting several types of activity together so children can tackle challenges, join organised games and spend time exploring the inflatable attractions during their visit.

If your children would rather be climbing, sliding, running and firing foam darts than sitting indoors during the February break, this is the date to put in the diary.

Your Mission Starts at Robert Bloomfield Academy

Army Inflatable Day takes place at:

Robert Bloomfield Academy
Bloomfield Drive
Shefford
SG17 5BU

Visitors book a session rather than arriving for unrestricted all-day admission. This allows us to manage the number of people taking part and organise the different activities running inside the event.

Once you arrive, our team will explain how the activities work and provide the relevant equipment for the Nerf games.

Stage One: Enter the Nerf Battle Arena

One of the main features of the day is our military-style inflatable battle zone.

Instead of simply handing everyone a blaster and sending them into an open space, the arena uses inflatable obstacles and cover points to create a proper playing area for foam-dart games.

Players can duck behind obstacles, move around the arena and take part in different game formats organised by our attendants. Soft Nerf blasters and foam darts are supplied, so you do not need to arrive carrying an armoury from home.

There is a briefing before activities begin, staff oversee the games and optional face protection equipment is available.

Stage Two: Take on the Inflatable Challenges

The Nerf arena may provide the military theme, but it is only one part of the day.

Army Inflatable Day also brings in the kind of physical activities that make BounceCamp events such an energetic option for school holidays. Depending on the event layout, children can find themselves climbing, bouncing, negotiating obstacles and heading down large inflatable slides between organised games.

That combination is particularly useful when friends or siblings do not all want to do the same thing. One child might be eager to get back into the Nerf arena while another is much happier tackling an inflatable obstacle section or heading for a slide.

Families looking for other high-energy activities during school breaks can also browse our kids fun days and Holiday Fun & Weekend Adventures.

Is This Just for Children Who Already Play Nerf?

No. Children do not need previous Nerf experience or their own equipment to take part.

The organised format makes Army Inflatable Day accessible to first-time players as well as children who already spend half their life collecting foam darts from behind the sofa.

The event is suitable for ages 4+, and the mixture of activities also means the whole visit does not depend on how confident somebody feels about joining a Nerf game.

It can be a particularly good choice for groups of friends, siblings of different ages and children who enjoy active challenges rather than quieter half-term activities.

Planning a Birthday During February Half-Term?

A February birthday can be difficult when the weather rules out many of the usual outdoor plans. If the dates line up, attending Army Inflatable Day with a group of friends gives children an activity-packed alternative.

BounceCamp also offers Party packages at selected events, so speak to us if you are considering bringing a larger birthday group.

What Makes an Army Inflatable Day Different from a Regular BounceCamp Event?

Our inflatable theme park events usually put the emphasis on a broad collection of large-scale inflatable attractions. Army Inflatable Day adds another layer by building organised foam-dart gameplay and a military theme into the programme.

There is still plenty of physical inflatable fun, but children can also become part of teams, follow game instructions and take on different challenges inside the battle arena.

It creates a different type of BounceCamp session for families who have already attended one of our other events, while still retaining the large inflatable activities that new visitors may be looking for.

Make February 16th Your Half-Term Mission

February half-term does not have to mean spending the week trying to think of another indoor activity for the children.

On February 16th, we will be at Robert Bloomfield Academy in Shefford with the Nerf blasters ready, inflatable obstacles in position and a full session of activities waiting to begin.

Tickets are sold according to venue, date and session. Everyone using the equipment requires a ticket, including accompanying adults who intend to take part on the inflatables.

How Can Children Spend Their Army Inflatable Day Session?

There is no single route that every visitor has to follow at the Shefford event on February 16th. Some children will make a beeline for the Nerf games, others will want to tackle the biggest inflatable obstacles first, while younger visitors may prefer to spend more time bouncing and sliding.

That choice is an important part of the event. The different activities give families the flexibility to find something that suits their children rather than expecting every age group to take part in exactly the same way.

For Children Who Want a Battle

The inflatable Nerf arena is the place for visitors who enjoy competitive games. Players use the supplied soft Nerf blasters and foam darts to take part in organised activities around inflatable bunkers, barriers and other cover.

BounceCamp staff oversee the games and explain what players need to do, so children do not need to arrive with an established team or previous experience.

There are other opportunities for friendly competition too, including inflatable sports challenges and foam axe throwing using soft equipment.

For Children Who Want to Climb, Crawl and Slide

Not everyone wants to spend their entire visit firing foam darts. The physical challenge side of the event brings a very different type of activity into the session.

Inflatable assault runs combine features such as tunnels, climbing sections, obstacles and slide exits, while the larger slides provide something children can return to several times during their booking.

Multi-activity inflatables add further variety by putting several challenges into one attraction.

This side of the event will particularly appeal to children who enjoy the obstacle-course element of our inflatable theme park events.

What About Children Who Prefer Freer Play?

Taking part does not mean children have to spend the whole session competing.

Open inflatable areas provide opportunities for general bouncing and play between the more organised activities. This can be useful for younger visitors, siblings with different interests or children who simply want a break before tackling another challenge.

Families looking for other ideas during the school holidays can also explore kids fun days and Holiday Fun & Weekend Adventures.

Can Friends and Family Attend Together?

Yes. The mixture of activities makes the February event suitable for friends, siblings and family groups where children may have different preferences.

A group does not necessarily need to remain on the same attraction throughout the session. Some participants might want repeated Nerf games while others spend more of their time on slides, obstacle activities or open bounce areas.

If February 16th falls close to a birthday, you can also ask us about Party packages and group arrangements at selected BounceCamp events.

Where Else Will BounceCamp Be Running Events?

Shefford is one date within our wider programme of ticketed pop-up events. The format changes during the year, so an Army-themed session can feel quite different from one of our larger summer inflatable parks or Christmas events.

You can follow the programme through August Events, October Events and December Events.

There are also dedicated local pages for Houghton Regis inflatable event and Milton Keynes if you would like to see where else BounceCamp operates during selected parts of the year.

What Do I Need to Know Before Booking February 16th?

Army Inflatable Day operates using booked sessions rather than an unrestricted all-day ticket. When booking, choose the available session that works for your family and make sure everyone who intends to use the equipment has the appropriate ticket.

  • Anyone taking part on the equipment requires a ticket.
  • Accompanying adults require a ticket if they intend to use the inflatables.
  • Nerf blasters and foam darts are supplied for the organised games.
  • Availability is determined by the selected Shefford session.
  • Groups and birthday parties can contact us before booking if they need assistance.

February half-term is a popular time for family activities, so booking in advance is the best way to secure the session you want.
